BLACKSMITH SHOP

Our blacksmith shop was built in 1969 to house the tools from the Zeb Peterson and son Fred Peterson’s blacksmith shop of Afton, Iowa.  The anvil, post vice, and “Little Giant” power hammer were all original to the Afton shop. Photos of the Peterson blacksmith shop appear on the inside of the main doors.   Blacksmithing demonstrations are given on July 4th and occasionally other days.
