GRANT CENTER METHODIST EPISCOPAL

The Grant Center Methodist Episcopal Church was built in 1891. It shown on the 1896 plat map, in the northeast 1/4 of section 21, Grant Township.  The church burned in 1907 and a new church was built 1 mile west on land given by J.P. Crowell. The 1916 map shows the church at the south east corner of section 17 in Grant Township.  The church building was sold at auction, March 21, 1923 and torn down in 1931.
This church has also been called Harmony Church due to its close proximity to Harmony Schoolhouse and Harmony Cemetery.
