LEE

 Lee was a Post Office located in the southwest quarter of section 1 of Lincoln Township.  In records at the National Archives , Lee applied to be a post office in August of 1875, with Andrew Cook as the postmaster.  According to the book, Iowa Post Offices , 1833–1986, by Alan Patera and John S. Gallagher, 1986, the post office opened on October 5, 1875, and was abandoned September 30, 1888.   Lee appears on many maps of the time.
