HIATT AMUSEMENT PARK COLLECTION

The Hyatt Amusement Park Collection was shared by Randy Hiatt and Connie Hiatt Spurgeon. Their uncle Byron Hiatt built a half scale railroad at the southeast corner of Highway 34 and Pole Road. The park only operated a few years before moving to Martensdale, Iowa.  Besides the train ride, there was a food stand, merry go round, Ferris wheel and other rides.   On special occasions, a group of robbers on horseback would stage a hold up of the train.
