TINGLEY

Tingley was a post office in the southwest corner of Pleasant Township or southeast corner of Sand Creek Township from 1868 until 1881, although it shows up on Maps much later.   It shows up in many different locations on different maps.   It is quite probable that this post office was in different locations, as the post office was in the residence of the postmaster, and if he moved, then the post office changed locations with him.   The Tingley Post Office of Union County closed in 1881 when the new town of Tingley was formed in Ringgold County, and the post office moved there.
