WEST UNION METHODIST

In 1893 Isaac Burd sold 1 acre of land to the Methodist Church for the purpose of building a new church across the road from West Union Cemetery.   The church building was built in the northwest corner of the southwest 1/4 of section 22 Jones Township.   In 1900 the church building was moved to the town of Thayer.
