ZALIA

Zalia was a post office in section 12 of New Hope Township from 1879-1888.   It was on the road between Pisgah and Winterset.   The post office was established by Charles Fuller and named after his mother.  Although the post office was supposedly only in operation from 1879 through 1888, Zalia is found on maps from 1877 through 1899.
